I’ve truly observed to use each of these “P’s” throughout my weightloss along with my maintenance mission.
First happens to be Persistence. I must remain persistent in sticking to my eating plan. If I slip up or make a bad choice, I get right back in there and make good choices again.
The second is Patience. There have been weeks where my weight stayed the same and where I didn’t see the progress I was working for. I’ve had to learn to be patient with my body and with my thoughts when adjusting to this specific brand-new way of life. I can accomplish this, and it also improves if I am not so tough on my own self.
The last is Prayer. For me personally, I really need this power I obtain through praying each day. I ask The Lord to grant me the ability in making sensible choices and overcome temptations that may confront me. Then I put the effort in to stay away from temptations and to be prepared in my food choices.
